Jon Jansen the journalist . . .
Usually the big question NFL players ask themselves once they find they are without a job is what will I do now that I can't compete. Instead of waiting for retirement, Jon Jansen of the Detroit Lions has decided to pick up a part-time job writing for the Detroit Free Press. In a question / answer format, Jansen gives the fans of the Lions an inside look at what the players are going through as they prepare for the 2010 season.
I was pretty skeptical of an NFL lineman's writing, wondering to myself how developed his material would be. But his first article was actually pretty good. It had some depth to it, describing why Jansen would go to Detroit and how he hoped that he could help turn the team around.
His second article followed the Q & A format and seemed more like a task to quick finish than writing that took some time to craft. Still, it's a part time gig. I'm curious what the Pride thinks of Jansen the journalist. What do you think?

I'm pretty impressed with Jansen the journalist.

He seems to write very well
It’s good to have an inside eye on the Lions and hopefully we’ll see a lot of good articles from Jansen throughout the season.

Follett and Suh IN YO FACE!!!
He's fine, leave him alone.
Besides, the man is living the good life up north, and is just trying to make the home team better.
