Things have been dull in the NFL world as of late, as we all know, but with June coming to a close, things are going to start picking up. After remembering that I'd be attending one of several Lions games with my fellow PoDers, it got me thinking about the season.
Which game are you most looking forward to?
The Lions' schedule is admittedly a tough one (as usual). I don't know who in the NFL sets these things up, but from my recollections, we consistently have a schedule that is routinely in the top 3/4 in difficulty. We're going to see some very stout teams, and I think we're in for some really good matchups this season.
I personally can't wait to see our season opener at the Bears. I truly feel like we are going to come out of the gates swinging (no pun intended) and the Bears aren't going to be ready for it. We're going to win our first game of the season on the road against a divisional opponent. This is a different team, and we're going to set the tone for the rest of the season, day one. I can't wait to see our front four blow through the elderly, porous Bears offensive line. Seeing Staff's passes sail to all the receivers a QB could hope for... Who knows, maybe Jahvid Beast will even show Chicago a thing or two.
All told, this is going to be a very important season for us, and I think Schwartz will have his men ready to take on that responsibility.
What are you excited about this season?
