Print*UPDATE* Due to work responsibility and the fact that this weekend is the largest imrpov festival in the world, The update will be on a one-week hiatus. See you next week and enjoy your first week of camp!
So, I never want to be tied to a chair ever again, but the mongrel known as Tom Kowalski left up his account and had recorded a bunch of dribble before I escaped his mustachey grasp.

Since I was somewhat DETAINED this week my question of the week is.
QOTW: What do you think the starting line-up at the defensive back positions will be at the end of camp?

Why?
Why would the Lions use a 3-4 at all when the strength of the defense is the linemen and the LB corp is questionable at best?
I’d love to see the Lions run some more complicated schemes, but I’m not convinced that Dizon should be spending any amount of time on the field, and to pull Corey Williams (presumably) to run a 3-4 and put Dizon in seems nonsensical to me.

Here are my answers to the question of the week:
1) IF Levy starts at MLB, Peterson and Follet will be the OLBs
2) IF Landon Johnson starts at MLB, Peterson and Levy will be the OLBs (My prediction leans toward the first scenario, but my mind says the 2nd would be superior).
3) Corners – Houston and Wade (there will be great competition, and it is possible that we could see a rotation involving Jack Williams, Amari Spievey, and Dre Bly along with Houston and Wade, but I think Houston and Wade will be the starters).
4) Safeties – Delmas and Ko Simpson (if he can stay healthy)…again I believe we will see a lot of package swaps and a rotation involving Simpson, Brown, Manuel, and even Marvin White. Delmas will always be on the field, barring injury.

Still funny after watching it a 3rd time.
As far as the picks go for our defence I think the REV here hit it in the neck with his predictions now that of course is pending any more Mayhewing with the current roster, I still think we are going to be adding at least 1 more guy if not 3 (lb;S;DE) I just don’t think the FO is as happy with the front 4 as most of us seem to be, at least at depth, and of course you all know I’m still not happy with the DE opposite of KVB but hey thats just me.

But we still have a glaring hole on that side of the line. Neither Avril or any of the other incumbent DE’s on that side of the line have shown much, but like some of the guys said earlier this offseason maybe with some pressure from the DT’s Avril will explode this year.

the way he stepped up last year and went helmet to helmet with AP that first game…. I loved it… not afraid at all of anybody… like a mini bob sanders…. but way better…
