Detroit Lions Training Camp: 7 Players Miss First Practice

In addition to Ndamukong Suh, who is still without a contract, the following players did not participate in today's practice:

TE Brandon Pettigrew
TE Will Heller
DE Jared DeVries
CB Jack Williams
S Ko Simpson
S Louis Delmas

I'm not sure if this is what the PUP list looks like as the team hasn't sent out an announcement yet, but unless these players are dealing with minor injuries, they probably are going to be out for more than a day or so. I will update the story when the PUP list is confirmed by the Lions.

UPDATE: The six players listed above are in fact on the PUP list.

Not really surprising

And today was only a conditioning test, all of these players had major injuries sept for Heller and Delmas and i am guessing that they are sitting out cause they tweeked something or something minor. I was reading the Suh not close to deal post and was like WOW. from awesome to furious in less than a day lol. Tuesday is the deadline for me, after that then some worry but i dont think it will get that far

Starting to become concerned about...

Jack williams. Seemed like a lock to make the final roster given what was said about him when we got him, and he really could help the secondary out, but this injury seems like it’s really persistent and slwoing him down big time

A kick off i think it was, just another reason not to like the Willams name on this team. That was the ulitmate bad luck play of the year.

Surprising

Delmas, Heller and DeVries but glad Smitty isn’t on the list. I think we all knew Grew would be there as for Will and Simpson not surprised, who is the 7th.
