Denver Broncos 8/21

 Broncos

Now if you've been living under a rock for the past 5 years, then I could understand. If not... then you must know Tim Tebow. A legendary Florida QB with his rushing TD's equaling to over half of his passing TD's. This high-profile christian of the game has been annihilating college defenses everywhere he went. And against the lions, I don't think it should be any different. Understand this is just a preseason game... but i sure as hell don't want tebow's stats raised sky-high against us.

Additions: All rookies including, Tim Tebow, Zane Beadles, Perrish Cox, Devin Bishop, Eric Decker, and Demaryius Thomas. Besides the rookies we have, Jarvis Green, Jamal Williams, and Brady Quinn. **NOTE** Most of the rookies were brought in for offensive firepower while "vets" were brought in for defensive stability.

Notable Losses: Brandon Marshall (big loss), Tony Scheffler (yayyyyyy), Kyle Eckel (injury), Casey Wiegman (he's old as the day is long), and last but not least... Elvis Duuuuumervil (injury-season)

Offensive Outlook: The Broncos really got a good C/G in Zane Beadles and that was important for them this off-season with Casey Wiegman being released. Tebow gives them the outta pocket QB you need when your line is demolished and your receivers are sub-par so far in their careers with only one receiver going over the 1000 yard mark. -Eddie Royal-

Defensive Outlook: Looking at a defense like this just a couple weeks ago would have made an offensive coordinater wondering... "Where do I go?" but with the loss of Elvis Dumervil, the NFL'sleading sack-rusher last year, they are left with a big hole. And where does the extra pressure come from that they're now missing? Expect Blitzes galore once the season begins, because  to match Elvis' 20 sacks last year andkeep up with what they had... they'll have to work some magic. The coverage got some much needed help though acquiring Perrish Cox in the 5th round in the draft, becoming either their #2 guy at corner or covering over the slot/TE role.

Weapons: Eddie Royal, Demaryius Thomas, Knowshon Moreno, Tim Tebow, and bronco secondary.

Broncos outlook: For a team that went 8-8 last year, they had one of the more dissapointing 2ndhalf seasons in recent past. (Besides our 0-8 second half season, 0-16 campaign) And bringing in so many new people expected to start right away they seem to be more in the rebuilding mode more than expecting for the playoffs anytime soon. I won't give a season record guess or anything but expect to have "good to great" matchups against the starters, and less than favorable against Tim Tebow and co.

Ultimately Look For: Kyle Orton to dink-and-dunk over the field about 8 yards deep and then try to slide one deep while the secondary is sleeping. Moreno is more of a between the tackles runner so expect those double-teams to start working against the play-side DT. Pressure on our o-line is a concern but expect Stafford to stay on his feet. (if he doesn't then don't expect for Schwartz to keep his blood pressure at a minimum) And Jahvid again should be with the first-stringers getting plenty of carries.
