Greetings Lions fans. My name is Nick Cast. I am a Denver Bronco fan. As you probably know, The Broncos and the Lions play on Saturday. While it is just pre season, it's still an opportunity to analyze our teams to find the strengths and the weaknesses. However, I feel like I cannot fully analyze my Broncos unless I know who they played against. How can I say Kyle Orton is improved if I don't know anything about the Lions secondary? So I come here with some questions about your team that I was hoping you guys could answer for me.
With the drafting of Jahvid Best, your offense looks very electrifying. Jahvid Best, Calvin Johnson, Tony Scheffler, and Nate Burleson are a ton of firepower for Stafford. How is the offense progressing? Speaking of Stafford, how has he looked this off season? What are your expectations for the offense?
Your offensive line ranked 24th last season. They gave up 43 sacks and 95 qb pressures. Have they improved? I know that you acquired Rob Sims, but are there any other acquisitions that you made that will give Stafford the protection that he needs?
Last season, the Lions defense ranked last in ypg. They gave up 392.1 yards per game. They also only got 26 sacks total last season. Other then Sue, what acquisitions have you made to improve your defense as a whole? What are your expectations for the Lions defense this year? What's the best unit on defense? DL? LB? DB?
How is your 2nd string players? 3rd string? Which unit has the best 2nd and 3rd stringers?
Now, I don't expect you to answer these questions for nothing. So if you have questions about the Broncos, I would be more then happy to answer yours. I am an active user of the Broncos SB Nation blog: Mile High Report. I believe I can speak for the majority of the people at MHR when I answer your questions.
I thank you in advanced for your answers and I look forward to answering yours.
