Lions Claim Safety David Roach

It's been hard to keep track of all of the changes the Lions' roster has undergone this week. Every day there have been at least a couple moves, and Wednesday was the busiest it's been all week. Four players were released, another was acquired in a trade and two more were claimed. Actually, check that, three players were claimed, bringing the roster back up to 80 players.

The move that went largely unnoticed yesterday was that the Lions claimed safety David Roach in addition to claiming Steven Hauschka and T.J. Rushing. Roach played in 15 games for the Rams last season and was waived by the team on Tuesday. It appears that he is being brought in to replace Marvin White (Roach is even wearing White's old jersey number), who was one of the four players released on Wednesday.

Roach joined the Lions' practice this morning about halfway through the session. Lawrence Jackson, who also just joined the team, arrived at about the same time after passing his physical.

We all remember the carousel at QB and WR

Talk about the carousel in CB’s. I mean we are just looking for bodies off the street and throwing them in the fire. My 250 lb Uncle Frank could fill a void in this defense, sadly its with a beer in one hand and a remote control in the other.

would work… great waiver pickup yesterday… it’s all we can do.. and teams may bite because of the reality of them making the final 53… so where are we at now with these corrections ? obviously Jackson will make the final roster as DE… I can’t wait to see the team update

just think we had the CB in New England.. i was shocked that they did not sign him long term.. i cannot remember if we wanted to be here

you don’t want to wait till the final 53 are determined.. you would only have a week to get the player prepped….

but Rogers center fits 80K, so that is very little. The ticket prices for football games are crazy in Toronto. I remember last year when the Bills played, ticket prices were around $400.
