Lions Waive Injured Roy Schuening, Sign Noah Franklin
Continuing their busy week of transactions, the Lions made two more moves today, waiving Roy Schuening, who had a left arm injury, and signing Noah Franklin.
Franklin, an offensive guard, was signed by the Panthers earlier this year as an undrafted free agent from Oklahoma State. At OSU last season, he started all 13 games next to Russell Okung. He was released by the Panthers on Aug. 8.
Schuening was originally claimed by the Lions toward the end of the 2009 season. I personally didn't think he had a very good chance of making the team, as I believe the Lions are more likely to keep a second center who can also play guard rather than a fourth true guard.

Not just any Noah, Noah Franklin.
He is a freak mix between Arc Builder, Financial Genius, and Lightning Catcher :)
Noah Franklin
Nothing more than a practice squad player but could be a good depth guy down the line.
