Okay I'm drinking the coolaid.
In the midst of the wonderful news that Brett Favre may not return I honestly think we can make a bigger jump than expected. Him retiring just added 1 more victory to our record. Baring injury I'm optimistic we can take that 2nd spot in the NFC North. I personally am not by any means afraid of the Bears. The Viking are in disarray now and there a great defense and a good running team but have QB's that wont get it done. Neither Jackson or Rosenfeld is a treat to us. Packers are the team to beat there probably going to win the division this year if Aaron Rodgers stays healthy. Bears we can beat twice, eagles are another team that might be a better game than people expect Viking away we may lose in a close 1 but when we get them to Ford field we can take that 1. Greenbay will beat us twice but the Giants we always play tough. I'm from NJ! I'll be at that game and I'll will us to the win lol. Redskins we can win. Rams we can win. Our games with the Cowboys even when we're really bad are always close, but its time to beat those cowgirls. Buffalo W, Tampa W, we'll probably lose to Miami and the Pats just because the 3-4 may still be a problem 4 Matt Stafford the Packers beat us up last year with that Defense twice as well as everyone else but I noticed a problem with us against that Defense. And like I said we gonna beat the Vikes week 17. Thats a winning record I've been typing so long I don't feel like counting them. Things are different in the motor city. My belief and enthusiasm is similar to our safety Louis Delmas he said that the defensive line is giving QB's 3 to 4 seconds to throw and Ndamukong isn't even in camp yet. So the CB issue isn't as big of a weakness as we think. The Packers will kill us with those crossing routes as they always have but trust and believe those Bears and Vikings are in for it. I may be delusional but believe in speaking things into existence. But I'm excited and ready for some football lets go LIONS!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. I like BLUE coolaid!!

T jack is a solid QB
He can still make some plays but he is no favre. They have to put it on peterson and let jackson manage the game. If we can take care of Adrian and hold of Jared Allen (BACKUS!) then we have a really good shot.

Is he really?
We have a better D-Line keep and line backer to shadow AP we can get picks on that dude he was taught by wild Brett the gun slinger he’ll be better but we have a beast name Calvin people cant triple anymore we can score 2
I wish we had the corner back we have now in 94 we could've won some super bowls.
Solving the Packers crossing route...
most of the Packers crossing routes start on the weak side of the defense where the OLB has containment and rushing responsibilities. When you take an OLB that used to be a Safety (Caleb Campbell) and put him in a coverage situation with solid pressure from the d-line, you can force the receiver deeper in the route. The deeper in the route, the longer the ball is in the air and it will throw off the timing of the play or offer an INT opportunity. I think that the Lions will start Follett and use him on rushing downs, and use Campbell as the 2nd/3rd & long OLB.
IF the Packers get ballsy and start going to the strong side, they will bring in a physical corner to play bump and run with a safety helping out and JP bringing the hammer. If the line can force the pass to be thrown in 4 seconds or less on a consistent basis, it can only help the secondary.
give me a glass
poor some of that kool aid sizzurp! I definetly think we have a chance now to at least take a game from minnesota if Brett Favre is gone. T jack is about to get jacked up. Though obviously the packers will still beat us, I believe we can steal a game from minnesota(withough favre) and definetly fight to the end with the bears for a game or maybe both.
Plus some of our non division games don’t look so bad, though not so good either lol
with this recent news i definetly hope for 6-10

6-10? more like.........
man9-7 man people are gonna think its the same old Lions for the first couple of weeks and those Rams aint going to beat us this year we will play better and win games that you wouldnt expect us to win I bet on that that Giants game is the one thats goin to surprise people we will win
I wish we had the corner back we have now in 94 we could've won some super bowls.
I think Viking-Lions games will be much closer now, possibly even more even
No need to underestimate them though.

I like your Kool-aid bro.
Let’s shake up the boggle game and see what falls into place. First we look at the Bears. A team that is a lot like our own Lions filled with a lot of hope some shiny new toys on Defense and even if we got on the field toys for offense, they got a damn good OC in Martz and even if I think Cutler is a joke of a QB he is a former Pro-bowl QB who has fast WR’s. Now let’s move on to the Vikes. With or without #4 the Vikings are going to give us fits with their blitzing schemes and that vaunted front 4 even with the 2 DT’s that should be allowed to play for half a season. As for T-jack he is a victim of circumstance his first year he was just that a rookie on the field with hardly NO weapons, his second year he was just getting into a groove with Rice and then Rice got hurt and so did T-Jacks chance’s. If any of us recall when Rice came back T-Jack started looking good again, I argued over on the Norseman about how they were better without #4 because T-Jack was their future but they are thick skinned Vikings fans. Now we come to the Packers. Yes they have arguably the best QB in the division even if #4 comes back. But with as many times as he got hit last year his body has got to be still hurting, and I don’t think Baluga is going to just step in and stop all these great DE’s that are now in the division at least not in his first year.Rogers is going to be put on his back a TON again this year and the Pack really don’t have a running game to take the pressure off of the front line.We as Lions/Bears fans have a ton of reasons to believe that this year is going to be a toss up for all 4 of the teams in this division. I can see the lions going 2 and 2 against the East winning our games at home and losing on the road since we still have not figured out a way to win on the road. once again we should be able to beat most of the teams in the West since Arizona lost Warner and the Rams are even shittier than we were last year, Seattle is as good as Hasselbeck’s back and history has not been to kind to him the last 3 years, so bye bye Seattle. I’d love to say we are better than SF, but I just don’t see it, they are on the verge of being dominant again for a good long time with all the young piece’s they have on offense and a dominant D. Having to play the AFC’s best division is not cool to me because playing the Pat’s and the Jet’s does not sound good to me and the dolphins are going to be harder than hell to beat now that they have a legit WR in Marshall and Henne going into his 3rd year with one of the strongest running games in the league.Notice I don’t even mention the Bills.IF and that is IF our Lions can win 4 road games this year we are going to be playoff bound but that is a BIG IF!
How many lumps you want Doc?
