According to National Football Post, Julius Peppers got fined $5000 for the hit on Matthew Stafford. The league says the fine is for Peppers getting his "hand too high". Personally, I don't get the point of this fine or the one on Ndamukong Suh. 5K and 7.5k are like pocket change to players that have contracts worth 70 to 80 mil. What message is the NFL trying to send with these stupid little fines? Its gonna stop players like Suh from doing it again. He said it himself that he doesn't care about the fine, and I bet neither does Peppers.
