At the beginning of this season, We all had high hopes for our beloved Lions. Some of us (myself included) dreamt of a 9 win season and possibly a playoff berth. I guess those dreams were short lived - Stafford hurt, lack of a running game, etc
What is particularly disturbing is the play of the offense. Despite adding Rob Sims to the line, we still rank 30th in the running game, averaging 67.5yds per game. Nate and Calvin have combined for 10 receptions for 108 yards in two games while Best ,a running back, has amassed 14 receptions for 170 yards in two games. Is there something weird about this pattern of play calling we have been seeing in games.
"Attempt to run, if unsuccessful throw to Best."
In the event that Best gets Hurt (God Forbid) what next?
What happened to creative gameplaning that favored personnel strengths OR is this Linehan's impression of Jason Garrett.
Whatever it is, this "losing thing" has got to stop.
I would appreciate your opinions on how to improve every facet of our game.
