Lions Sign Cody Wallace To Practice Squad, Release Jonathan Hefney
The Lions have made an adjustment to their practice squad, releasing defensive back Jonathan Hefney and signing center Cody Wallace.
Wallace tried out for the Lions last week. He was with the 49ers for the past two seasons and played at Texas A&M in college.
Hefney joined the Lions back in January and was signed to the practice squad after being let go in the final round of cuts.

Yay! Maybe he will be ready to replace Raiola next year!

Any thoughts on WHY we now have two centers on the practice squad ?
This cat was a fourth round draft choice in 2008. Hell of fall to us now. Intangibles include intelligence, toughness and strength. Maybe Goldilocks is on the way out and more defensive help is on the way in…

I don’t see him lasting long on the practice squad considering we already have another center on their.
