Stafford still hurting
Sorry this is the 1st time I ever posted a link, but what it says is Stafford still can't untie his shoe lace with his arm yet. That sounds a bit more serious then the FO was leading us to believe. If he can't untie his shoe after two weeks this sounds like a 6- 8 week injury rather than the latter... DAMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice post
Good info. If indeed it is accurate then you may be right. We may have to wait until week 8 or 9 to see him get injured again (sorry that was not funny)

Seen this just before you posted it lol
Yea hopefully it won’t take that long but we can’t rush it.
GET WELL SOON MATT! We need ya man
With all due respect.....
That shoe trying thing comes orginally from a DetNews story a couple of days a go written by Chris McCoskey. All of the national sites just picked up on it…..McCoskey is a tad unstable at times with his writing….take it for what it’s worth.

AAAAARRRGGGG....
Like posted above, this is an old story.
And with all due respect… It has been 1 week and 4 days since Stafford was Injured.
NOT 2 WEEKS!!!!
all this misinformation, and paranoia is annoying.
What's your issue....
Just saying where the story originated from.

i'm agreeing with you on when the article was reported.
and adding to it that Stafford has not been hurt for 2 weeks.
No Issue with you delusional, just adding to the info you posted and stating my annoyance with the Stafford Paranoia.
Gotcha....thanks for clarifying.
Like I said, I believe nothing when it comes to injuries with that team.

Besides.....
I don’t believe anything when it comes to injuries with any of the Lions. Schwartz and all of them are into the cloak and dagger say nothing mode.
Logan didn’t get the word with Nate’s injury and stuck his foot in his mouth.

Saw this on MLive today...
not very promising. I think we could be looking at after the bye… unless it’s another ploy by the FO to misinform.
I think all of these writers.....
Are getting a little pissy over all of the secretiveness with the injury stuff.
Both Killer and McCoskey sound a little edgy over the lack of info in some of their columns.

You would think they could find better things to write about than injuries
Though because I keep doing a weekly match up I know how frustrating it can be to try and analyze the game when you don’t even know who is going to start. I can see both sides of this coin.
Ndamukong Suh - Bringing 50's football back to Motown!
next thing you know, we will have reporters hiding out in rooms across the street
of players with megazoom cameras trying to get a shot of a player tying or untying their laces.
Frankly, it pisses me off but who am I?
Staff is the face of this franchise, the face they presented and sold to us and we can’t even get an approximate time line on his recovery or the severity of the injury? Instead we get comments like “he has a shoulder” for Matt and “we did not amputate his foot” for Nate.
This smacks of a team that is trying more to sell tickets to upcoming games than of one trying to keep their opponents unaware of who will be playing. Announcing your starting QB on a Wednesday when you really don’t have to for another 2 or 3 days seems awfully odd for a franchise so hell bent on secrecy and gaining every possible advantage.
Lions fans deserve better than being the laughing stock of the NFL. Lets all hope they are heading in the right direction finally.
I agree on the whole trying to be secretive, then just blurting out your starter on Wednesday.
Seems pretty counterproductive. If you want to keep Stafford’s availability unknown, why not wait til Saturday? Even if you are absolutely sure on Monday that he’s not playing. OR….. if he’s not going to play and if he’s not even close, let us fans know what is going on. Do one or the other…. either be secretive completely or be transparent.
I still think it comes down to ticket sales

it's called being safe...
he may be able to untie his shoe with no problem, but I’m sure the coaching/medical staff has told him to treat the arm as if it’s incapacitated so that it can heal. As in, don’t carry a bag, don’t grab the milk with that arm, don’t untie your shoes with that arm. No activity for that arm so that it heals quickly.
I don't expect him until after the bye
Let’s hope he’s fine by then.
RIP Robyn Bailey 1961 - 2010. I love you mum.
According to medical info on shoulder injuries I have read
He has nothing more than a contusion or strain since any AC joint separation would first be in a sling for 1-3 weeks. I don’t believe that staff was ever in a sling.
Just because he didn’t use his right arm to until his shoe in front of a reporter doesn’t mean that he cant. He just chose not to aggravate it is the way I see it.
Yeah, I'm a Lions fan
Ok, everybody relax......
This is the same front office that claimed Chris Houston couldn’t pass a physical, when he certainly could, and they had one of their scouts come out and make a false report saying Jahvid Best was still having serious head and spine issues, all just to throw teams off. Saying he can’t untie his shoes, but yet he isn’t in a sling, seems kinda unreasonable to me. Stafford is fine. Schwartz knows the situations for the next two weeks (Minnesota and Green Bay) and he doesn’t want Stafford to play when he’s going to get beat to hell. Look for him to be back in two weeks against the Giants.
Why bother!
Didn’t he get a $40 Million dollar signing bonus.
If that were me I would hire someone to tie them or invest in velcro. : )
Just kidding……. Matt. Get well soon!
Go Lions!
Matthew Stafford
He can just leave his untied like Denard Robinson, it’s gone pretty good for him so far this year.
