Nate Burleson, Zack Follett, Matthew Stafford Out For Lions
Three Lions players have been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Vikings: wide receiver Nate Burleson, linebacker Zack Follett and quarterback Matthew Stafford.
All three were expected to be out after how things transpired earlier in the week. Burleson apparently has a high ankle sprain, as mistakenly made public by Stefan Logan. Follett is still dealing with the after effects of a concussion. And finally, Stafford is still a ways away from being back in game shape.
Four players are questionable for the Lions: offensive guard Stephen Peterman, defensive end Cliff Avril, linebacker DeAndre Levy and linebacker Landon Johnson. At this point, I expect all four to play. Peterman practiced today after missing a couple days, showing that he should be good to go. Avril and Levy have been practicing this week as well. And with Johnson, he is likely going to replace Follett in the starting lineup, so I expect him to play.
Linebacker Ashlee Palmer and safeties C.C. Brown and Louis Delmas are all probable, which is good news.
I will post the full injury report tomorrow.

Not really surprising
but it still sucks a big one. We also really need Peterman playing. We saw how the line fell apart last year after he got hurt, so it’s good knowing that he should be good to go.
Man, I really want to win this one. Let’s get it.
Losing Nate sucks
As well as Zack. Thankfully, we may see Levy back. Also Peterman is relief.
RIP Robyn Bailey 1961 - 2010. I love you mum.
Matt maybe you should consider
a work out “enhancement” to help your shoulder!…your killing my fantasy team man KILIING IT. Just traded LT for Josh Freeman ugh!
GET WELL SOON MATT! We need ya man
I think that Follett...
would have been more helpful in this game than most due to his hard tackling and pass-rushing. I am not overly concerned about the Vikings deep-ball right now, and a stronger and more physical linebacking core would have been nice. I was surprised that Avril has been practicing, and I think he will make a big play or two on the slower-than-Vick Favre.
p.s. Dear Scott Linehan, there are Offensive schemes that leave wide receivers open, as evidenced by the playbooks that pass against us every week.

Lions fans deserve better than being the laughing stock of the NFL. Lets all hope they are heading in the right direction finally.
