Lions quarterback Shaun Hill was announced as the team's starter for the Packers game by Jim Schwartz earlier today. With Matthew Stafford still not healthy enough to play, Schwartz made the decision to give Hill his third straight start.
Stafford said on Monday that he planned on doing some "light throwing" this week to test his right shoulder. It's unknown if that happened as planned, but if it did, it's obvious that Stafford still has a ways to go in the recovery process before he will be healthy enough to play.
With Stafford still sidelined, Hill will get another chance to lead the Lions to a win on Sunday. So far this season he has completed 63 of 107 passes for 660 yards, three touchdowns and five interceptions.
