They Cut Him??? (Central page for pertinent cuts around the NFL)

I know we're all interested in whose being cut where...Thought it would be cool if we had one page for the cut players Pod'ers would like to see us go after (or at least entertain).  Already got some juicy stuff...

Star-divide

Justin Hartwig being shopped by the Steelers - say what?? Pouncey unseats the Steeler staple.

Damione Lewis DT - cut by the Patriots

Patrick Crayton WR - expected to be released by the Cowboys today. This has been talked about. I'd take crayton in a heartbeat. His salary is not ridiculous. And we are not as deep at wr as most people think. If anything happens to Calvin or Nate, we are screwed. Crayton would provide depth.

Post your cuts as you hear about them...

For Fun...

Top 10 questions you'd like to ask Charlie Sanders If you see him...

You must link a source for all Cuts, and Trade Rumors.

If you wanna say “Hey let’s look at this guy” that’s fine.

But if you say, “Team A, just cut Player X” or, “Team Z is Shopping Player Q”. I wanna know where you read it. Fair Enough?

Remember, he was playing for Pad-level Moronelli.

He could honestly be the greatest player of all time and he would look shitty in his pathetic excuse of a defense. Also, he would still get cut (even if he were Ed Reed) by Moronelli because he doesn’t like him and wants to pley some 30 year veteran who sucks and will never be good. Just like he did here.

Well i didnt realize they got Reynauld too, who is a special teams ace and shows power and explosion as a running back, so not so bad as I originally thought.

Still smart for the Vikings to get that much value for players they were going to cut. Spielman is a sharp GM.

delusional

They are setting themselves up for a fall…The Lions really have a chance here.
Cutler and Martz are already feuding. Brett Favre is already planning his escape, and every team in the North has the same schedule. We have a chance…but we have to improve the roster before the 12th. I have a feeling were doing allof this for nothing…I love Schwartz and I like mayhew. But they are not the best talent evaluators in the world…

I just have a feeling that they are still putting a ton of stock into things that aren’t football related. “He’s a good guy…’ ’he helps old ladies across the street” Listen, I don’t want thugs on the team either, but talent has to reign supreme.

Nope

That are some fans talking .. and sometimes, it’s just window dressing … Does anyone in the NFL say the way it is ? .. It’s PR and hiding everything from 31 other teams …

They are doing everything based on Need, Talent and business …

And that’s why, even though I think someone should stay, I will bow to their wisdom if he is cut … they know better than I do .. and they have proved that ..

Ghee is a raw Joseph from what many state and many here wanted Trent alone, probably the worst CB on the roster. If they’re not the top in depth, they’re close.

This article talks up Bruce Davis at LB but he ran a 4.78 when he was drafted in 2008, I doubt he is any faster now. Probably not the kind of LB we are looking for.

I was wondering, why SB Nation does not have a main transactions list? You know basically each mod for each team (Sean for us) could just update their particular team. But would give us a nice place to go to for a master list, that would probably be more current than any other news source out there. Just a thought.

Cody Brown 6’3 244lb OLB – Ari A second pick two season ago. Had some injury problems this season. Never really did anything there. But at 23. Might be worth a waiver pick up.

Kirk Urbik – OG Pitt A third pick last season. I cant imagine that he would be worst than Man-Ram.

Here's the irony with this...

We had Parrish Cox in for a pre-draft visit. Then we passed on him in the 3rd and 4th and he was drafted in the 5th.

Cox goes in as a low paid 5th rounder and badly beats out Smith for the starting job. SO, now we trade a really good player to get the guy that got beat out by the guy we could have had.

I hope smith plays really well for us though.

A lot of people passed on him too … and everyone passes on a lot of people .. It’s good to be a monday morning quarterback … isn’t it ?

32 teams passed on Tom Brady .. like 6 times ? And Jamarcus Russel was a #1 pick …

All we should see is what the lions did with the cards they were dealt .. and we have had among the best drafts in the league .. 2 years in a row ..

Not to mention we got Scheff from Denver and a pick for Earnie sims .. and we are giving him our 3rd string TE plus a late pick (conditional) for a CB who mgiht be coachable by Gun… a 2nd round pick …
