it must suck. . .

being the first one released. . .I know everyone cut will be in the same boat by 6 P.M. Saturday but still, being the first one cut must be alot like being the last one picked in dodgeball

McCoskey in the News is saying....

D Williams is going to get whacked, and Gronk is staying…..I’m good with that if it happens.

Pratt is whacked…..oh no!!!!….I say he makes it.

Caleb Campbell….whacked, and Vinny Ciurciu, and Boiman?…no way

i actually like McCoskey's cuts. . .

i too would question cutting Derrick Williams as well as Vinny Ciurciu. . .we all like the Caleb Campbell story but we also knew he was a long shot to make the team. . .probably a prime PS candidate. . .other than that, i wouldn’t be upset if that is how our lineup turns out. . .although a Mayhew trade to bolster the LB corp or DBs would be great as well

Although I don't like some of his cuts

.. He has logic behind them .. and I must say I am impressed …

Don’t agree with some .. maybe it’s wishful on my part .. But all in all, a solid logical plan

His Cuts that people might discuss …

De De
Jon Jansen (keeps Hilliard)
Flullen
Caleb Campbell
D Williams (keeps Northcutt , only 4 Rec)
Keeps all 4 TE’s
Ciurciu
Boiman
Pratt
Ko simpson
Hefney
Keeps 9 on DL (including Cohen)

And anyways

More will be cut once we pickup few new players …

by Libran on Sep 4, 2010 9:53 AM EDT up reply actions

I like the fact...that

Aaron Berry stays. I believe Pratt should stay to. n throw eric king out on his asz
DeDe is out he keeps fumbling when we don’t need him too. he gets the boot
As much as i like follet he’s been getting out played by johnson so he will stay
I wish cambell would hurry and develop as a former U.S Military servant
I would like to see him make it eventually.
We keep R. Phillips ditch Simpson =]

i agree with you on Berry. . .

i have been saying it since the Lions picked him up as an undrafted free agent. . .he played at my high school and I followed his play closely while he was a Pitt. . .he will be solid. . .just a little undersized. . .another big knock on him last year was his drop off in stats, but if you watched any Pitt games, most times they threw to the other side of the field

by Wick22 on Sep 4, 2010 3:03 AM EDT up reply actions

Yea I know

I’ve seen a couple of those games as well and I know he’s undersized but even then he’s still physical and fast which i think jus a little more polishing and he might be a 7th round (well undrafted) Tom Brady success for the defense lol

by rom3o on Sep 4, 2010 3:14 AM EDT up reply actions

out of curiousity. . .

looked at his stats at Pitt over three years as a starter. . .90 Tackles, 26 Pass Break Ups, 6 INTs, and 1 Sack

by Wick22 on Sep 4, 2010 3:21 AM EDT reply actions

Because..

Most of the time they thew to the other side of the field
he has always had good coverage on his man except the ONE time
he got burned by Demarious Thomas. But Even he said. That berry
was one of the toughest corners he’s ever lined up against

Not Jaron!

Cut Stafford or Best or Delmas or Suh!

Anyone but Jaron!!!

by Trysdor on Sep 4, 2010 4:27 AM EDT via mobile reply actions

I know

If they couldn’t cut Suh or staff, since they don’t have much value, mayhew should have at least try to trade Jaron .. got something for him !!!!

I wasnt to see...

If this organization has the balls to do what’s right.
Cut Derrick Williams.
Trade K. Smith. If they do that, I will be so happy about our future.
