Caleb Campbell has been released by the Lions, but according to him on Twitter, he will have a spot on the practice squad.

Campbell has to clear waivers before the Lions can put him on the practice squad, but I don't expect another team to sign him to their 53-man roster, so he should stay with the franchise. While some may view this as a setback, just look at what Zack Follett did a year ago. He was released, signed to the practice squad and then became a starter. Being put on the practice squad is not a bad thing by any means.
