Chiefs trade Jarrad Page to NE
From Adam Schefter on Twitter:
Adam_Schefter Filed to ESPN: Chiefs traded S Jarrad Page, who signed his contract only on Friday, to New England for a conditional draft pick.
Whelp, Lions fans, it looks like Jarrad Page will come to Ford Field after all, except in a New England Patriots uniform.
Call me crazy, but I'm unusually comfortable with our safety position. Randy Phillips has been a pleasant surprise to me. This kid is like Delmas lite, making plays all over the field and in the backfield. Spievey has some serious potential back there as well.

Wow....
I cannot imagine what the patriots needed another saftey for…
They already have meriweather who is a probowler and everyone seemed really high on their 2nd year, second round SS Patrick Chung… Not to mention veterans with good starting experience in Sanders and McGowan. Most people thought they would be trading a safety away today… I am perplexed by that move
perhaps they will still move a safety
Lions fans deserve better than being the laughing stock of the NFL. Lets all hope they are heading in the right direction finally.
to bad we couldnt get him
Dre Bly should still be a lion

Pats
The Patriots starting safety McGowan is on the IR now leading way for them to make this trade. I don’t see how the Lions could not come up with a similar package or even better than the Pats but must have been something Gunther did not like having coached him before.
I think it was more of a matter of us being happy with Phillips

i'm def happy with delmas and combo of spievey & phillips
just hope one of the latter two step up and take the other side as a lock…we need those two positions to build chemistry quickly while our cb’s figure out their development
I think as time goes on Phillips will emerge as the clear yang to Delma's yin.
And Spievey I think will emerge as a nickle and dime back / nickle dime safety.
