Lions Announce Alphonso Smith Trade
Continuing to catch up on all the roster moves made over the weekend, the Lions finally announced the trade with Denver involving cornerback Alphonso Smith. As you likely know by now, Detroit sent tight end Dan Gronkowski to Denver for Smith.
The other compensation involved with this trade is the exchange of undisclosed 2011 draft picks. It's unknown what specific draft picks were given up or if this was simply a swap of picks in one round, but it appears both teams gave up a player and a pick in this deal.

Ha! Can always count on Mayhew not to give up too much.
He always seems to be able to work a swap instead of just giving up a pick.
I'm sure that Gronk is a good pickup for them.
Especially since we got one of their other TE’s!
Nothing new here for the Lions
Keeping their lips shut even long after the trade was known by the whole world.
Lions fans deserve better than being the laughing stock of the NFL. Lets all hope they are heading in the right direction finally.
