Lions Sign Joe Jon Finley To Practice Squad
The Lions added an eighth and final member to their practice squad today, signing tight end Joe Jon Finley (or J.J. Finley, depending on which site you reference).
Finley has been in the league since 2008, when he signed with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent. It appears he was with the 49ers from 2008 to this past Saturday, but he never appeared in a game or anything, so he still is eligible for the practice squad.
With Finely's addition, the Lions' practice squad now looks like this:
WR Tim Toone
WR Mike Moore
TE Joe Jon Finley
C Dan Gerberry
DT Robert Callaway
LB Caleb Campbell
CB Jonathan Hefney
CB Paul Pratt

OK
Martin what is your deal with TE’s dude? seriously the guy has some love for that posistion.
I had a dream were the Lions let me sign a 1 day contract they let me practice with them running drills and catching passes from Matt…At the end of the day I was called into Mayhews office. I was told I had just been traded to seattle for a 5th round draft pick.
Hafner legit...
Idk he was a LB 2, but I caught some of PAckers game, since I live up in da UP eh, against AZ I think, but he was the best Receiver 4 GB, he must’ve caught 3 or 4 TDs. & if can play LB that’s even better. Very athletic, good size, hands, he probly should be 3rd TE, I’d say. But goos TE help solidify an OL, while giving a young QB more options
A dude with 3 names?
don’t all famous murderers or serial killers have 3 names?
In life, a man is either the hammer or the anvil. Ndamukong Suh is both

I really thought a RB would occupy that final spot.
Maybe they decided to develop a player who could challenge Heller for a roster spot next year or take Scheffler’s spot if he doesn’t re-sign with the team.
I thought being lazy was a bad thing, So I gave up thinking.
Joe Jon Finley
Has to have the best name on the team now.
