Delmas

I was sure Louis would play when he was active for the pre-season game. If we don’t have him I don’t think I need to say just how bad of a posistion are secondary is in.

I had a dream were the Lions let me sign a 1 day contract they let me practice with them running drills and catching passes from Matt…At the end of the day I was called into Mayhews office. I was told I had just been traded to seattle for a 5th round draft pick.

The way they've been rehabbing him we shouldn't worry

I’m under the impression they’re rehabbing him to ensure he will be as fresh as possible for the game.

by BtotheLT on Sep 8, 2010 8:13 PM EDT up reply actions

Our safety position isn't extremely bad.

If Philips, Brown and even Speivey play well, then it won’t be a huge issue. Although Delmas is something we definitely need on the field.

Delmas = difference maker

everyone else you named = potential to be solid. With how thin we are at LB and CB, we need difference makers to force TOs. If we don’t, we will be nickel and dimed all day for continuous touchdowns.

No Delmas changes this game completely

Even with an anemic Bears offense, they are going to throw it over the top of our heads. Might turn into a shootout.

I dont think we need to sweat this too much guys. I fully expect these two to play this weekend.

More than likely, they are resting them up in hopes of maximizing the injuries time of healing.

Lions fans deserve better than being the laughing stock of the NFL. Lets all hope they are heading in the right direction finally.

He’s definitely gonna get roasted for quite awhile over hiring Millen, and letting him stay here so long.

Let's talk about how Stupid da Bears are.

They don’t even know which freaking jersey to wear.

by j16941 on Sep 8, 2010 2:06 PM EDT reply actions

Redwings do it quite often

Seems like they wear white at home quite a bit.

Different Sport.

The Tigers wear White at home ALL the time. But this is Football, You wear your Colors at Home and Your Whites on the Road.

Stupid Bears, I don’t really care. This way we will be able to see all the Grass Stains on Cutlers Jersey.

not any more. More and more teams are switching to a home white jersey

Dallas has been it for years. Than the Redskins started to do it out of sprite to the Cowboys. Now other teams have been doing.

if the Redskins start wearing Small Pox Blankets as jerseys, does that make it right?

by j16941 on Sep 9, 2010 6:28 AM EDT up reply actions

And good for us ...

Our players will feel “At Home” wearing the home jersey :)

by Libran on Sep 8, 2010 2:24 PM EDT up reply actions

One of the reasons the Bears are choosing to wear white on Sunday is because the Sunday temperature is suppose to be about 80 degrees with a medium-high degree of humidity. Wearing their white uniform instead of their dark blue home uniform will deflect some of that heat and be cooler.

… Just taking advantage of the rule is all.

The real story from Wikipedia

The shade of blue used for Lions uniforms and logos is officially known as “Honolulu blue,” which is supposedly inspired by the color of the waves off the coast of Hawaii. The shade was chosen by Cy Huston, the Lions first vice president and general manager, and of the choice, he said: “They had me looking at so many blues I am blue in the face,” Huston said about the selection. "But anyway, it’s the kind of blue, I am told, that will match with silver

I am sure the Bears did the uniform change because they are expecting a hot sunny day and want to reflect heat while our Lions absorb it,. This just shows how afraid of losing they are and trying to get every advantage possible.

I thought the Lions played with a lot of heart last year.

They were underskilled in a lot of those contests, but kept it close in some of those games. The fact that Calvin Johnson has not squawked and “wanted out of Detroit” is astonishing to me and I tip my cap to him.

Lions will be better, I will admit, but I think you guys might catch us when we head to Detroit in the middle of the season…

… Not this week. (We’d burn Chicago down if they loss this Sunday. haha!).

Agreed on the heart last year, and Megatron.

From what I’ve read he’s just been internalizing the frustration and growing isolated, but that started changing once Detroit started actually drafting and trading well.

I think they’re gonna narrowly defeat the Bears at Soldier, but we’ll see. I love Chicago, it is one my favorite cities, and I have a Bears starter jacket from the 80s that is too sweet not to wear, I catch some shit for it sometimes, but it’s just that dope.

Perhaps...

… But, there’s growth in learning from the past.

I remember after the 2004 season when the Bears couldn’t win to save their lives, Bears fans tempered their expectations going into the 2005 season and let the play of the Bears dictate their enthusiasm. As the team won more and more games, Bears fans started getting excited and believing in the team.

This Lions team has done absolutely nothing to date, yet fans are posting like the Bears are underdogs. haha?

It’s kinda funny.

He'll be fine.

We have some secondary issues that makes this defense a bit challenging. But, the Bears defensive secondary should be alright if they are able to get a bit of a lead and are allowed to take some chances.

Marinelli has taught some of these lineman how to be a lineman which is a pretty cool thing to see. We’ll see how he does in playcalling from the sideline.

he’s a good dude. When he was canned, he showed up to the presser, looked everybody in the eye and took his licks from the media like a man and didn’t make any excuses. Every other coach that was fired that season just released a statement to the media.
I wish him alot of success except 2 times per season. This week just happens to be one of those weeks where I hope he sucks.
