Warren Sapp gives the Lions some cred
I was watching Inside the NFL on Showtime last night and they were doing their predictions division by division. Naturally I was really curious about what they would have to say about the NFC North. I was amazed and pleasantly surprised when the evaluation of the Lions came around and Warren Sapp gave us credit for starting to come together and then predicted a 7 win season for us. I thought that was pretty sweet, but it didn't end there. Later in the show they were going over the season opening games and Mr. Sapp not only picked us as his upset special but said the Bears have offensive line problems that our newly upgraded D line can take big advantage of and we will quote "destroy the Bears." Obviously I thought this was over the top, but I also have to say I found it very reassuring that anyone that's recognized as knowledgeable can see that we've finally been moving in the right direction and is willing to give us credit for it.
The season opener is tonight and it should be fun with a rematch of the NFC Championship game. Tonight I'm a Saints fan, and of course come Sunday GO LIONS!!!!!!!

Sapp did a segment on Suh earlier and was very complimentary.
I’m not a big fan of Sapp, but his video about how Suh handles the double team, and can beat it, was very interesting.
lemmee see, where to start.....
1. He played for the Miami Hurricanes. I don’t like that school and how their football teams act.
2. He played for Tampa Bay against the Lions.
3. The cheap shot he gave the OT for Green Bay, and was not man enough to admit it was a cheap shot. Prompted a rule change.
4. He likes to talk trash, talked trash his whole career, and I don’t like guys who talk trash.
I am not disputing that he was one of the best DTs of all time, I just said I am not a fan of his.
I was not a big fan of him as a player but I like him on NFL Network
Mainly because of his moxie more than anything.

Yeah, He is actually not bad in the videos I have seen him in as a talking head.
He has a good fantasy football commercial too.
I will be watching and rooting for the Saints tonight, here is to hoping that they kick Favre's ass again :)

Farve might not come out of this game to healthy.
Last year they about crippled the old man, this year he is a step slower and missed all of camp and like 2 preseason games. 12th man is going to get Farve everytime and his #1 reciever is out, haven’t really heard any news on Percy or Toby.
Can we stop talking about releasing Smitty and Hanson now....
Farve is still trying to recover from that NFC championship game last year
Lions fans deserve better than being the laughing stock of the NFL. Lets all hope they are heading in the right direction finally.
Well hopefully N.O sacks him back into retirement.

Rock and a hard place.
Don’t know who I am cheering for, being in Saints country, and I hate the Saints. But then again, hate Viqueens.
"I’d probably get arrested because football’s my only time I get to go out there and hit people as hard as I can, and it’s legal," Follett said. "I need that once a year."
The way Chicago's offensive line is playing we have a chance at setting a per game sack record on Sunday

I'm surprised they don't keep track of how many sacks a team gets in a game
Cleveland’s eight-sack performance on Ben Roethlisberger last season was an amazing feat to see.
Here we go, Ironically the Bears are on that list against us, Revenge time?!?!
* Most Sacks, Game, 12
Dallas Cowboys vs Pittsburgh Steelers (11/20/66)
St. Louis Cardinals vs Baltimore Colts (10/26/80)
Chicago Bears vs Detroit Lions (12/16/84)

sapp daddt is the man
One of my all time fav players. Seen this last night very cool.
I had a dream were the Lions let me sign a 1 day contract they let me practice with them running drills and catching passes from Matt…At the end of the day I was called into Mayhews office. I was told I had just been traded to seattle for a 5th round draft pick.
