First fanpost...Defense and draft ideas

preparing to spew...random thoughts now (not A.D.D. but not focused). Let me just say hello to all and I get most of my Lions info from POD. I'm just gonna jump right in and offer defensive line up I would like to see.

startin at the back, safety's Delmes and Spievey, corners Houston and Smith, linebackers Levy and Palmer, D-line Avril, KVB, C. Williams, Suh, SLH.

Are the wheels turning yet? Yep 5 man front, 2 backers, and 4 secondary. Would this be a good base D? We all know that Phonze and Houston are capable, Delmes of course, Spievey's getting there, Levy good Palmer's getting there also...The front 5 hummmm, how would you block them if your where the offensive cord.? Who do you double, how do you double? Head to head, I'd take those 5 over any offensive line and I bet they would win 90% of the one on one battles. Can't run through them, you better have a no-step drop cuz your not going to have time, frees the backers up to stop any runs that get through, only passes that might have a chance are 5 yrds or less. What do ya think?

Draft, hummm don't follow college all that much so I can only go by POD suggestions, probably use a LB & corner/safety though, O lineman would be nice, don't really see a big as need as some for a big back, #2/3 receiver (although BJ must have realized he was getting paid to CATCH the ball the last couple of games)

Really hate to speculate on actually picks because we all know its a crap shoot, first rounders fail, 6th rounder can star. Lot of the time is who can feed out the most bullshit before draft and who's eatin it up. I believe Mayheiw does not eat bullshit like his former boss and actually passes the plate to other GM's (yes please may I have another).

Well that's it, popped my cherry, lots of other thoughts bangin around in hear but its hard to get them all organized, so thanks for your time and lets to hear some comments. One last thing, if I spelled names wrong, I'm sorry it's just me.
