The NFC north is well represented by Rodgers and the Green Bay packers. I know any other day I'd be against them but not now. It comes down to divsion pride I am pulling for the Pack for a few reasons. At the top of that list though is the Detroit Lions well get 2 garunteed games against the Super Bowl Champs if they win. The AFC north will bring there A game with Pittsburgh Steelers and Big Ben. Mike Tomlin has done well for a young coach of only a few seasons. We got to see the Steelers Chip Up in there championship game with a big play by Brown. On a small note if you caught the post game pressers Rex seemed a little humbled tonight and somewere this evening I belive I shared a good chuckle with my man Phonz.
Packers vs Steelers has history written all over it. Not in the forth coming game but in the NFL. Green Bay Packers always rings one name Vince Lombardi you will find his name for ever engraved in the championship trophy every NFL team fights for. Coach Lombardi won the Superbowls 1 and 2 against the Chiefs and Raiders with Hall of Famer and 2 time Superbowl MVP Bart Starr. Then there is the Steelers considered the Dynasty of the 70's led by Chuck Noll and the Steel Curtain. Winning 4 Superbowls between 74 and 79. The Steelers hold more Lombardi trophys than 31 other teams with 6 Superbowls in there lifetime. Yet these 2 storied teams whom like it or not are cornerstones of there respected confrences have never faced one another in a Superbowl. Will this be the greatest game ever...Not likely but if you were to sit down and watch every superbowl its possible one of these teams was in that game. So while many of us think this game could be better and are just happy with the fact the Jets aren't in it. There is atleast a promise that History will be made in Febuary 2 of the biggest franchises sense the NFL/AFL championship games inception will finally face off with everything on the line. The Winner will bring a city to its knees the loser will bring theres to tears.
So this is the part where I mention that every year the NFC championship game ends wether it's Saints, Packers, Cardnials or Giants I always ALWAYS ask...When the hell is it our turn. Why can't Detroit just once all I ask is ONCE to feel the excitement, the pressure and the nerve recking build to the big game. I can't imagine what it feels like not to host a Superbowl but to actually participate. I hope someday we all get to witness it I would love to win that game in so many ways. I want to just get there even more. Everyone had there chance and I am not being selfish anymore I wanna be the Saints! I want to be the Cardnials just once I want the Detroit Lions blue jerseys to shine in those bright lights as the entire WORLD doubts us and we get are chance to achive recognition that cannot be taken away.
P.S- I HATE THOSE YELLOW TOWELS!
