Now that the season is over I wanted to poll the POD membership as to what they consider the 2010 game of the year for the Lions.
Personally, I was stuck between two games; the Jets and the Bucs.
The Jets game was the first game I had ever attended at Ford Field. The atmosphere was electric and had the feel of a signature game for the Lions. For over fifty minutes the Lions took it to the mighty Jets and looked every inch of a playoff team. However, the Lions did not win and though this game was a step forward, it was not the leap forward it could have been.
The Bucs game was an away game against a team that was in a great position to make the playoffs. The Bucs were a team that won just one more game than Detroit in 2009 and had made a great jump forward on the back of their 2009 drafted QB and a large number of rookies. The Lions had just beaten Green Bay in Detroit and were looking to end a record road losing streak. An exciting, well played game by both sides and Detroit pulls out the comeback and overtime win led by Drew Stanton and Calvin Johnson.
I have to go with the Bucs game. That was a great win, against a good team on the road.
What game was your favourite?
