Lions Vs. Bears: Inactives Announced

PrintHere is the list of inactives for tonight's game between the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears:

Three things are worth pointing out about tonight's inactives list. First and foremost, defensive tackle Nick Fairley is not on the list and is expected to make his Lions debut tonight. He probably won't play a lot, but he is expected to get into the game. Next, linebacker Justin Durant is inactive. He was expected to play, but he suffered concussion-like symptoms during warmups and will once again be replaced by Bobby Carpenter in the starting lineup. Finally, with Amari Spievey and Erik Coleman inactive, John Wendling will start at safety for the Lions.

to be honest i would rather have Eric Wright at safety with Tim McDonald at corner...
With Alphonzo Smith at nickle…. but that is only because they don’t have big recievers and the speed would help more … and Welding i duno if he matches up with Knox and Hester with footspeed… and i trust McDonalds tackling more… just my opinion

Wendling’s fourth on the depth chart for a reason, he’s not going to blow any minds. He’s there because that’s who we have, but I trust him not to get burned for sure. Chicago doesn’t have the weapons to put Wendling on man coverage so I’m not too worried about it.
