I'm sick and tired of other teams getting credit.

Is anyone else tired of fans of other teams, the media, etc. giving other teams credit for blowing games against us, rather than for us winning games? New Orleans made the playoffs last year after winning the Super Bowl, and all anyone could talk about was how great Drew Brees is and how electrifying their offense was. Fans of other teams were showing respect, and when the Saints won games, it's because they WON games. Nobody vomited up this nonsense about how the Saints opponents were just crappy. Oh, and by the way, the Saints opponents win percentage last year? .469. Tied for the 7th easiest schedule in the league.

This year, we're tied with a bunch of teams for the 3rd hardest schedule in the league, with opponents from last year having finished at a win percentage of .520 (ironically, the exact same win percentage that Green Bay faced last year when they won the friggin' Super Bowl).

But still, we're not "winning" games, they're being won for us by our opponents. Our opponents are handing us the game. Our opponents are beating themselves.

What? That doesn't make any damn sense. No team in the NFL can completely beat themselves. The team they're facing has to be coherent enough, and skilled enough to finish the task. But still, no respect.

I can't wait until next week, when people are going to hype this game up (like they have the past 5 weeks), as being the hardest challenge we've faced. People are going to say it's going to be a tough game that we may not win. People are going to say that it's the first time we've faced a good team. They'll say this, praising the 49'ers (and how they've won 4 games despite having the 2nd easiest schedule in the league this year), and pissing on us. And then if we beat them? I can guarantee it'll be "Well, the Lions did alright, but the 49'ers beat themselves in this game".

If after 5 games, we make teams "beat themselves", isn't that called out-coaching/out-playing the other team? Just saying...

/end rant.
