- The attendance record for a Lions game at Ford Field was broken on Monday. The attendance was 67,861, which came up just a bit short of the overall Ford Field football attendance record that Super Bowl XL set (68,206).
- On Sunday, the Lions will try to start 6-0 for the first time since 1956 when they take on the 49ers. Interestingly enough, when the Lions started 6-0 in '56 their sixth win came against the 49ers.
- The Lions have scored the fourth-most points this season and have allowed the fourth-fewest points. They lead the NFL in point differential, coming in ahead of the 49ers, which are in second place.
- During Cris Carter's interview with Calvin Johnson that aired on Monday night, Carter said Johnson is "definitely one of the best wide receivers in the National Football League."
- Johnson's nine touchdown receptions are the most by a player in his team's first five games since the merger, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

Tony Scheffler suffered a concussion during Monday's game.
- Reminder: "Restore the Roar" T-shirts are available on GameDay Depot, which has partnered with Pride of Detroit.
- Jim Schwartz spoke to Barry Sanders before Monday's game and said that they had a helmet and jersey available. Obviously Schwartz was joking, but Sanders looked like he could still suit up and play.
- The Lions are off to a 5-0 start for the fourth time in their history. The other three times came in 1956, 1934 and 1931.
- ESPN had a great stat last night: Jason Hanson's 100th game was in 1998 when the Lions beat the Buccaneers on Monday Night Football. That was their last MNF win until yesterday, when Hanson played in his 300th game.
- Monday night's game looks like it will end up being the second-highest rated broadcast for Monday Night Football so far this season.

- Super Bowl 48, which is the New York/New Jersey Super Bowl, will be played on Feb. 2, 2014.
