Not really that heated guys!   I just remembered that from John Gruden when Mel Kiperwas talking down Jake Locker when he was drafted.  In all honestly though... I read some stats about how the Lions five wins have come against teams with a combined record of like 10-14 or something like that.

We always have to go down to stats don't we?  I never thought that the "W" wouldn't be enough for a Detroit Fan.

Let me throw some easy but valid points out here:

-The Lions are 5-0 this year... 3 of them took place on the road.  Sub-par records or not; it is difficult to beat anybody on the road in the NFL, especially in Dallas and Minnesota.

-We only really played GOOD in 2 of those games this year.  Stupid Penalties nearly cost us the game against Tampa.  Dallas and Minnesota were flat out ugly games and yet somehow a team screws up SO MUCH that we can come back from a 20 something deficit?  Sorry! I'm not buying it guys.  Teams come back from deficits but not like that.  I'm chalking that one up to the Lions capitalizing on mistakes.

- If you look back to all the "Season Predictions" that the papers did before the season, you will clearly see that we were supposed to be either 2-3 or 3-2 right now.  We weren't supposed to win 3 on the road, only 1.

Right now we are winning games andmost of them we have barely shown up for half the games.  It's almost a scary thing that the Lions have so much talent that they can literally say "OK, its the 2ndhalf, time to start scoring."  I know that is certainlynot the plan!!  But it makes me curious to see what they can actually do when they show up and play smart football for 60 minutes.

You can show all the stats in the world and analyzee it till your eyes fall out but I think everyone in this room knows football and more importantly, knows the difference between a GOOD team and a LUCKY team. The Lions are not Lucky, there just flat out GOOD.
