Former Lions Punter Nick Harris Signs With Jaguars
It took much longer than I expected, but former Detroit Lions punter Nick Harris has landed with a new team. From Adam Schefter:
Harris was let go during the final round of roster cuts after undrafted rookie free agent Ryan Donahue came in and won the punting job with the Lions. Donahue has performed quite well so far this season, so the move to change starting punters appears to be a good one for the Lions.
I'm glad to see Harris landed somewhere. While Donahue outperformed him during the preseason, Harris is a good punter, and he is deserving of being a starter somewhere.

When Jim Harbaugh says "more is more" I think he is trying to say Moore is more.
Pretty good
Was fantastic last year but was a little shaky to start the season. Has been good lately so the early season jibbers were most likely a result of a shortened preseason.

Been real good
We pretty much kept Hester at bay all night monday. Week 1 had some shaky moments but it’s been very good the last couple weeks.

Was excellent last year
Had some rough spots this year but you saw us pin Hester down pretty well all game. It’s a strength of our team when it’s playing up to potential; same with the other two phases of the game.

Well, suffice to say.
Hester had a better day as a WR than he did as a returner.
And that’s saying a lot because he only had like one reception, lol.

Hahahaha
Yeah, Chicago was hoping for that out of Hester. Not going to happen.

He was under pressure and he's a rookie
Out of all of his punts that is the only “Bad” one that I have seen.

If he only has one bad punt every five games, that is quite acceptable.
Especially considering how he has that nasty backspin on his punts that can kill the ball inside the 20 so often.
I never met him, but he was family to me... R.I.P. Tom Kowalski We will all miss you.
Yes, it happens.
And he’s been better than Nick Harris, at least.

Good for Harris
Classy player won’t cause a scene in the locker room like oh so many punters before him either.
Great for Nick
He deserves a gig. It’s clear why he’s not here anymore though, Donahue was MAJOR last night. I thought Hester was the only guy who could steal momentum and kill us last night. Donahue completely eliminated him from the game.
Good to hear!
Nick Harris deserves a job in this league!
LITTLE MAN IN BACKFIELD! LITTLE MAN IN BACKFIELD! GO STEFAN LOGAN!
Good for Nick!
He is a good punter. He just lost out to an even better punter in Detroit, but he is still better than many of the guys playing for other teams. He deserved a chance.

I'm happy for Nick
I can’t believe it took this long for someone to sign him. I hope he has a good season and Jacksonville signs him to another deal.
