Detroit Lions Add Aaron Lavarias To Practice Squad
The Detroit Lions made a change to their practice squad on Wednesday. Defensive tackle Corvey Irvin was released, and linebacker Aaron Lavarias was signed.
Irvin joined the Lions practice squad shortly after the final round of NFL roster cuts. At first some thought he might have been signed to the active roster, but he was simply an addition to the practice squad.
Lavarias entered the NFL this year as an undrafted free agent out of Idaho. He spent time with the New England Patriots before being let go, and now he is headed to Detroit to join the Lions.
In other practice squad news, former Lions wide receiver Tim Toone has signed with the Buffalo Bills practice squad. He was let go by the Lions during the final round of cuts and brought back a few weeks later as a member of the practice squad. One week after returning to Detroit, he was released, and now he is with the Bills.

I'd love to see Toone go to the Rams.
Maybe not this year but maybe next. He could be a great receiver for them considering their need at that position.

There are ...
Only a couple places that Mayhew doesn’t look for talent-
1). At a funeral
2). At a cemetery
No warm bodies to look at for talent. Mayhew is a machine when it comes to finding talent. Gotta say that finding LoJack, Carp, Phonz, Wendling, Scheffler, Houston, Wright, and the list goes on and on. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s the one flipping the helmets at Ford Field.
"I’m not a talker on the field, but if you say something to me, I may say something back to you or I may ignore you. It’s funny because a lot of guys usually come up and say something to me like right before, something like ‘Have a good game,’ or whatever, and I just ignore it. I’m not here to meet friends. I’m here to cause you problems and meet your quarterback. I’ll shake his hand when I’m hitting him." Ndamakong Suh
