As painful as the Matt Millen era was for Detroit Lions fans, it's a lot easier to laugh about it now that the current Lions are 5-0. Memories of 0-16 and drafting wide receivers seemingly every year are squarely in the past for fans, but basically everything that happened during the Millen era is still a target for jokes.
Proof of this comes in the form of a video on Funny or Die called Millenball. The video parodies Moneyball, a movie with Brad Pitt about Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane. The parody takes digs at basically all aspects of the Millen era, including drafting Joey Harrington, Millen's love for receivers, Rod Marinelli's love for pad level and Millen's general awfulness as Lions GM. Take a look:
Like I said, it's much easier to laugh at a video like this now that the Lions are actually seeing success on the football field. It's still a bit painful, but it's also a reminder of just how far this franchise has come in three short years.
