I have noted several posts here about trading for Hillis.  I really want him as I think regardless of what Best did last week that we really need to upgrade this position in order to be a contender.  Our wins have been a combination of some huge plays, some great 4th down conversions, and a little luck.  We are very one dimensional and teams have learned that they can send the farm after Stafford because we have no running game. All they have to do is rush from the edge.  Best never runs between the tackles so the DE position and interior linemen who run stunts can get some massive hits on staff and also be in position should Best get the ball and run right at them.  Every team knows this is our weakness and until we prove that we can run between the tackles teams will continue to stack the outside.  I thought we had the answer in Jerome who proved in the past that he was a north/south runner but since he can't get on the field i guess he is missing something.   Don't get me wrong, I am a lifelong Lions fan and love this team.  These wins have been amazing and this is truly one of the top NFL teams.  Now I am wondering if we can contend for a Super Bowl run.  A guy like Hillis might just be worth the investment.
