Stafford
The last two games its seems that Stafford is having some bad accuracy issues. Now I am the first to say that i believe a lot of the problem is a lack of protection in the pocket and no power run game. However that being said i have been noticing more of a side arm throw coming from him these last two games and was wondering if that is perhaps the issue behind the accuracy. I don't know maybe i just didn't notice it before now and i was just wondering if anybody else saw a difference at all. I don't know if he is hurting and has pain rotating his shoulder a certain way right now or what is going on.

Hard to be accurate with the pressure he's dealing with!
Our O-line is out of rhythm, they seem to enjoy watching the defense play for 35-45 minutes per game. This may explain why they can’t find a good pace, a good push and a good pass protection.
The play calling hasn’t changed from the beginning of the year, our opponents know our plays and they don’t need to blitz for sacks, a 3 or 4 man rush will do it. They need to work on getting off the snap as an 11 man unit and do the job they get paid to do.
Then again, from his last pass attempt, I am seriously doubting Stafford will face the Broncos, it was a bad hit on his leg. Luckily, we get a bye after the Denver game. Hopefully, they regenerate for the hardest part of the season.
I am calling it right now.... the reason stafford is stuggling is because
he isn’t able to escape… coming out of college he was more mobil. But it appears he is either out of that type of condition…or that plus past injuries have hurt him.
Watching Newton and Rodgers they both get tons of pressure. Yet the difference is they aren’t rattled and they escape it…. Brady may not be fast or quick but he has a good pocket pressense and good internal clock…all of which Stafford is lacking… hard to display your arm if you can’t get by that part of quarterbacking….
He has had pressure but he also displayed very little in responds to it other than falling down and holding the football for too long.
agree to a point
I think he needs to get rid of the ball quicker but the plays called are for time in the pocket, which he doesn’t have. The plays he needs are for shorter quicker routs over the middle and slants. Then the longer ones will open up I believe.

There's going to be some growing pains
and who’s to say he’ll ever be Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers. They’re playing good teams and he’s doing a half decent job against those good teams. Next step in the process would be start beating those good teams on a consistent basis.
On a side note, the Saints are beating the Colts like a stepchild…

Holy hell!
I just checked the game out. That’s a freaking college score.

He IS throwing sidearm
I saw that too. I think he has some rotation issues. His accuracy is way off and he has no touch the last 3 games, including Monday night. I know a lot of the “experts” on this board will say that we are overreacting and that we are premature, and it’s just growing pains, but I also know what I saw. I sit at the 15 yd line second row, and saw this repeatedly. Remember, these are the same “experts” that said we were overreacting with Best. Chances are he is done for the season. I am in no way saying that about Stafford, I’m just agreeing that he doesn’t have anywhere close to the touch he had and he’s throwing sidearm a lot.
Whatever you do....
don’t put those sidearm throws in context. I’ve noticed them too, but I’ve watched a few of the games a second time and when he does that, it seems very much intentional. He’s doing it to either avoid a linesman from batting it down or because his body is in a funny position and it’s the only way he can effectively throw. I have no doubts that it’s not improper mechanics, but him making a play… or attempting to.
The kid
With all the injuries is basicly a rookie ! And were seeing the growing pains that comes with it IMHO ! Also his protection is not the best. and top it off with little to NO running game were lucky to be were we are ! But this is a LOT bettert team and along with Staf and up grades will only get better !
IMHO the we have a good team and will be an elite team with 1 or 2 more draft classes ! Our FO is the best we have had in years . Were 5 and 2 and been in ev ery game !!! Not 0 and 25 !
Also I don’t think this team has played a really decent game yet this year ! God help the team they break out on . I personaly hope its GB but The Bears would be good :O)
i believe the sidearm crap is because his shoulder is indeed injured again. when he does throw over the top it is generally accurate and on time and has some mustard on it. but right now he is unable to do it consistently.
as for his mobility..wow..wow..wow i don’t know, but man does he have concrete in his shoes.

I actually think that staff’s mobility has been pretty good.
Shoulder injury?....lol
The only thing injured up around there is his head from having the same 5 sieves in front of him year after year, along with no running game to take the pressure off of him.
Agree with the premise
Stafford has seemed less accurate but 5 sacks will do that… not to mention dropping balls that you can grab. Nice grab Roddey White in the end zone.. plz show Pettigrew how to do that!
Please not the pettigrew dropsies rant..
Did you see at all the TD in the 49ers game… much more difficult than that roddy grab.
