Lions Injury Report: Matthew Stafford Limited In Practice

The Detroit Lions' Wednesday injury report is out. As reported earlier in the day, quarterback Matthew Stafford practiced on a limited basis, whereas running back Jahvid Best was out. Also out was defensive tackle Nick Fairley, who was "limping noticeably," according to The Detroit News' Chris McCosky.

Here's the full rundown from the injury report:

Did Not Practice

RB Jahvid Best (Concussion), WR Rashied Davis (Foot), OT Gosder Cherilus (Knee), DE Kyle Vanden Bosch (Not Injury Related), DT Nick Fairley (Foot), DT Sammie Hill (Ankle), CB Chris Houston (Back)

Limited In Practice

QB Matthew Stafford (Ankle), DE Willie Young (Calf), S Vincent Fuller (Elbow)

Only three players were listed on the Denver Broncos' injury report: RB Willis McGahee (Hand), TE Julius Thomas (Ankle) and DE Elvis Dumervil (Ankle). McGahee and Dumervil missed practiced, whereas Thomas fully participated in Wednesday's session. It has already been reported that McGahee will miss Sunday's game because of his hand injury.

That's what I'm hoping

So it looks like Fox returned to practice? Hopefully we start seeing him get some snaps. We need him sooner rather than later….

Yeah the detnews link he says resting

It’s just sore. He won’t miss the game. Stafford is obviously going to play, 4 more days to let it heal so he should be fine if he is already practicing and not limping. I’m looking for the offense to get back on track big time, just like Nate is saying. We need a statement in the next couple weeks. They should be able to establish the run against the small Denver defense.

You think a sprain means he'll obviously play 7 days later?

I don’t. I expect Hill to start.

Agreed, the Defense has been keeping the O in these games week after week. It’s time the offense stepped things up.
