I've been reading the posts all week trying to find some insight for our last 2 losses. There has been good comments and alot of not so good comments. Although I do agree with some, I understand that its just disappointment because the team on the field was capable of winning both of those games. My take is "that's football".
What I don't understand is that in both games it looked like there were no adjustments made between series. If Stafford gets rattled during one series, why is there not a coach talking to him about what he needs to adjust, for the next series? Mind you, I've only watched the games on TV, so I can't see if it's happening, but it seems he goes out the very next series with a "deer in the headlight look". The same goes for the rest of the offense. Is no one talking to them on the sidelines helping them make adjustments because it just didn't look like it to me.
I know we have weaknesses in our offense, O-line comes to mind first, but so does every other team. The coaches up in the booth have the best view and still they go out the next series with a 3 n out! We have good players but with no help from coaches upstairs they just make the same mistakes.
IMO, for the last 2 losses, I have to say alot of the blame has to go on the coaches shoulders. Does anybody else feel the same?
Here's looking forward to the next win and going 6-2 into the bye week. Go Lions!
