Lions Reportedly Waive Robert Malone, Sign Ben Graham
It's too early in the week to know if punter Ryan Donahue will be able to play on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. If he is once again unable to go, it doesn't look like the Lions will start Robert Malone, who filled in for Donahue against the Chicago Bears. Instead it appears Ben Graham is the insurance policy based on the following report.
Graham, who is from Australia, has played for the Jets, Saints and Cardinals during his career.

A few days to late for this move.

The wind didn't bother his booming kicks.

Malone
He punted well. When all you special team players are on one side of the field and Hester is running up the other—don’t blame the punter.
He outkicked his coverage more than a couple times.

Is the best that’s ever done it. There’s absolutely no reason to kick to that guy. You give the bears O the ball on the 50 yard line every drive if you want our defense was playing great.

Have you guys heard the latest crap...
on ESPN. More Dirty talk but also how bad Stafford is …they are delivering it in the most irresponsible way possible. Before it was “are the lions dirty?” now its “stafford ripping a guy down by his head” and “suh ripping his cutlers helmet off”….. It’s blatant one sided bull shit. Heath Freaking Evans is the only one who is like “whats the big deal, i like the aggressiveness”.
They even have the audacity to talk about Staffords crap game but some how fail to mention the fact that he has a broken finger and there were 40+ MPH winds. You know damn well the wind was a big deal if Bears were giving us single coverage with CJ on occasion and if Schwartz mention’s it.
Don’t know why I let it get to me, i guess it’s because everyone is dumb enough to believe it…grinds my gears!!!!!!

i know it's Entertainment and Sports Programming Network .....
but if they are going to try to sell themselves as a news program they should at least attempt to NOT manufacture stories.

This just in:
The average person is a goddamn moron.
That’s why sites like this exist…so the rest of us have a place to go.
yeah, i know...it's getting pretty bad though.
I had to move to WI and the Packers fans are pretty hard to deal with normally..now i have to hear undefeated defending world champs from people who don’t know what a goddamn 3 technique is….it’s sad really

its getting bad enough
that i turn the channel when they talk lions. something i used to love sense we were hardly on there

Really?
Heath Freaking Evans is the only one who is like "whats the big deal, i like the aggressiveness".
Wasn’t he the dude that kept on saying our 5-0 start was a fluke, assuring viewers at home that the Lions weren’t as good as their record indicated? And now all of a sudden he’s defending us? Strange.
Oh yeah
If Schwartz mentions it you KNOW it’s a fact. That’s a guy who tells it like it is. No game playing there, no sir.

Wonder why dude lost his job
He actually was the one to tackle Hester and prevent a TD on one of those returns, and he got good distance on his punts… weird.
My guess is he did not execute the gameplan correctly
Just look at the difference in the punting (and Hester’s impact) from the first game to the second game, that might be a good indicator.
Good distance = giving Hester a bigger running start
His hangtime was shit on most of those punts and that was a large factor in Hester’s huge returns.
that may the one impact the wind had
forced him to kick lower to keep it out of the wind.
regardless he still shouldn’t have kicked it to Hester. I wonder if he was told not to and messed up.
The wind was probably a factor
If Staff gets a pass for the wind then Malone should too. But at the same time I couldn’t see Donahue kicking those kind of punts. If you watch Donahue’s punts you’ll see it goes exactly where he wants it to 85% of the time and he’s not far off for the other 15%. I’m pretty sure he’s already top 10 in the league in punts inside the 20 and for good reason. Donahue pretty much single handedly eliminated Hester in week 5. The kid has beautiful finesse, which is only going to get better.
Didn't Hester's TD come on the one he muffed?
If so, I think that relinquished all blame from Malone.
