Lions Vs. Panthers: Wednesday Injury Report

Here's a look at Wednesday's injury report for the Lions:

Did Not Practice

RB Jahvid Best (Concussion), DE Willie Young (Ankle), DE Kyle Vanden Bosch (Not Injury Related), DE Lawrence Jackson (Thigh), S Amari Spievey (Toe), P Ryan Donahue (Right Quad)

Fully Practiced

QB Matthew Stafford (Right Finger)

Although Best did not suit up and participate in practice, he did attend the session. According to the Lions' official site, this was the first practice he attended since he suffered his latest concussion. This may not mean anything in terms of him being close to returning, but it's good that he was at practice for a change.

The Panthers' Wednesday injury report is below.

Did Not Practice

TE Jeremy Shockey (Ribs), LB James Anderson (Ankle), LB Jason Phillips (Calf), CB Captain Munnerlyn (Quad)

Limited In Practice

LB Dan Connor (Shoulder)

pray to god staffs finger is healed and no more gloves.

also i was liking how well new punter malone was doing. had good distance.our special teams just dropped the ball.also i think the coaches told him not to kick away from hester.also not sure why hansons still kicking on kickoffs.if malone or donahue can put it through the back of the endzone then we should’ve been doing that all game.tired of seeing logan taking knees or watching the ball sail over his head.that needs to happen to our opponents.especially the bears.

Gloves

I thought i read somewhere on here he already said he’s wearing gloves. Good to see we are blowing this out of proportion and not him. I think we’ll bounce back well against Carolina.

The Gloves will be suiting up.

If it’s true that it’s his index finger with the splint on, think of trying to grip a football and throw it without a glove. The glove has to help throw a tight spiral, and that wasn’t the problem against the Bears; it was the whole Offensive with their heads up their ass.

This game against Carolina is just what the doctor ordered to for them to get back on track and regain their confidence; for Stafford, and for the rest of the unit. Stafford HAS to play this one, and I’m sure he’s chomping at the bit to redeeem himself, and I suspect he will. The Lions could probably sit him to allow some more mending to take place, and win this game with Hill, but why? Stafford needs to get back out there to shake the last game off, if there is any chance of him leading the Lions to an upset of the Packers on Thanksgiving Day. Detroit is too good to lose to the Panthers, Stafford needs to be a part of it.

After being humbled, and losing the last two at home, they are going to take it out on Carolina, and get the fans ready for silently believing that the nasty, dirty Lions are hungry to rip into a raw piece of meat with cheese sprinkled on it for their Turkey Day meal. I believe we are going to see a fast start by the Lions, and that they’ll have the foot on the Panthers throat by halftime.

You’re not as sick of it as he is.

Always wear a glove

Did not wear one once,
and paid $309 a month forever
