If the Packers can be had, this is it
You are right. This team seems built to beat the packers.
The key, for me, is the first quarter. The Pack will do everything to befuddle Stafford; which is what you do against a quarterback who is relatively inexperienced. The thought being that if you can get up on the Lions early while Staff is still working things out, he won’t have the coolness or time to get back in the game. The difference here is that I don’t think the front seven of the Pack can get this done. We should be able to run on them or make passes to the TE’s, maybe both. This would keep Staff out of the situation of overreaching, he then can let the game come to him and pick out those big plays. Those plays should be there. The Pack has the secondary but, as you noted, they aren’t in sync. Staff can pick them apart, if he has time.
On the other side, Rodgers is going to come out throwing in an attempt to get the crowd out of the game. The Lions, if they have any sense, will be playing a bit soft in the secondary to prevent big plays.Rodgers and his crew are going to get some points; the trick is making them get those points slowly. My key here is Fairley.
He is starting to come on. You can not block both him and Suh without committing four lineman or rather, more importantly, keeping your TE’s in to block. This gives Rodgers one less target to hit and the Lions one less target to defend.
If we can stay even or ahead with the Packers through the first quarter, we will have a game despite doing our usual bad penalties. If we get a break and get ahead then the Pack will have to change their plans and Rodgers will have to stretch his game in the face of an all out rush.
I think the Lions take this thing 30-24.
I sure hope we are all right about this one :)

I'm truely disapointed in this team
after todays play. It got out of hand we lost damn near all our DB’s and lost our best DT for who knows how long. This team is at a point where they can fold or rise from this. I truely believe Schwartz will take this team on a run not a collapse
