Lions Sign Keyunta Dawson, Make Change To Practice Squad

With defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh suspended for the next two games, the Detroit Lions were granted a roster exemption. They used it today to sign defensive end Keyunta Dawson, who will provide some depth on the defensive line. Between the suspension and injuries, depth was getting a bit thin, so Dawson will step in as an extra body on the D-line.

Dawson was with the Lions during training camp. The Lions didn't release him until the final round of roster cuts, so he should know the playbook for the most part and be ready to play on Sunday.

In addition to signing Dawson, the Lions also made a change to their practice squad. Wide receiver Nate Hughes was placed on practice squad injured reserve, and his spot was filled by wide receiver Marcus Harris. Harris joined the Lions as an undrafted free agent this past summer and was let go during the first wave of roster cuts in August.
