Lions Vs. Saints: Wednesday Injury Report
Going into Sunday's Lions-Saints matchup, one team is pretty banged up and the other is pretty healthy. Unfortunately, the Lions are the former. They suffered quite a few injuries on Thanksgiving against the Packers, and the end result is a relatively lengthy initial injury report:
Did Not Practice
RB Kevin Smith (Ankle), DE Lawrence Jackson (Thigh), LB Doug Hogue (Illness), CB Chris Houston (Knee), S Louis Delmas (Knee)
Limited In Practice
DE Willie Young (Ankle), CB Brandon McDonald (Thigh)
Fully Practiced
WR Calvin Johnson (Ankle), WR Maurice Stovall (Shoulder), S Chris Harris (Ankle)
It's worth noting that Smith said he was feeling "pretty good" yesterday, and he is in fact practicing today. It's looking more and more like he will play on Sunday, although as Dave Birkett notes, he probably won't be 100 percent.
Here is a look at the Saints' Wednesday injury report:
Did Not Practice
DE Turk McBride (Ankle)
Limited In Practice
LB Jonathan Vilma (Knee), CB Jabari Greer (Knee)
Fully Practiced
DE Tom Johnson (Elbow)

"@TheBigShlomo: @ttwentyman Limited practice, or full practice?" He looked pretty good going through cone drills. Not 100% but looks ok
I just read Suh & Megatron leading votes for Pro Bowl.

That goddamn Okra and beans got you Oprah in jeans. Seems to me a little lean cuisine, wouldn't hurt much- Agh don't touch! -Obie Trice
Fuck Jim Harbaugh.
If Megatron doesn't get in the pro bowl this year...
…something is seriously wrong with the system.

I think things are seriously wrong with the system and NFL on a whole
Agreed. But he’ll get in. He has to.

They are both the best in the NFL at their position

Have we played a team yet
this year that has had a larger injury list than us? I mean seriously, we always seem to trump our opponent like threefold…
In both penalties, and injuries.

Yea, so, whats the real deal on Lou and Chris
Are they likely to play?
All men are created equal. Its just that some men are more equal than others....
My guess is
for the very little it’s worth that Delmas is out and Houston has an outside shot of playing going by their own statements and maybe reading between the lines a bit.
Someone is alive today simply because I can't afford a hitman.
