Some positive energy

Everyone knows we are 7-5 and playing a meaningful game with playoff implications for our team in December! That, in itself, is fantastic.

I believe the Lions will go to 8-5. And, that they will show:

1. They are an aggressive team that keeps fighting to the end.

2. They are a team that is still improving. They are hungry for more.

3. They are a team that works at improving, and will show it with improved "discipline".

4. They are a team that pulls together behind a Head Coach they believe in.

Is this just jaded optimism? Or, perhaps, a realistic view based on what we've seen since that 0-16 year?

I believe it's the latter. We have overcome so much. Who would have thought we would win our last 4 games last year? We overcame the loss of Stafford. This year has brought new challenges. One of the best teams in the league (New Orleans) states they have been strategizing for weeks at how to stop Calvin. Guaranteed this didn't happen last year.

We imploded the past couple weeks against two of the best teams in the NFL. It hurts, because without the stupidity, we could have been right in there. We hurt ourselves, big time.

Guess what. We made a mistake. Know who doesn't make mistakes? Those that do nothing.

Our team has done a lot! I want them to keep on, keeping on. Face the new challenges, and conquer them just as they have been doing.
