Pro Bowl - Playoffs

First post, long time Lions fan.

I really don't understand everyone's issue with only one Lion making the Pro bowl. I want the Lions to win the Super Bowl, I honestly could care less if anyone makes the Pro Bowl. Everyone knows the pro bowl voting is trash, only example needed is Ray Lewis. I heard someone on the NFL Network put it this way, and I agree 100%: You get in one year after you deserve it, and you stay in one year after you deserve it. Stafford is a Top5 QB, should he be in? Sure. Does it really matter? Nope.

The Lions have a great shot to WIN the Superbowl. I look at it this way: I'm using the Saints as the example since everyone see's them as a the "most dangerous team" for the Lions to play.

On MNF in the Superdome, which I think compares to a playoff atmosphere. At the end of the first quarter the Saints were up 3-0. What happened after that point? Fairley re-injured his foot and Lions had zero inside push, which allowed Brees to step up in the pocket. The difference for the playoffs? Suh and Fairley.

The offense? I'll take the Lions offense with a healthy Stafford, Johnson, and Smith over the Saints any day of the week ( I know that's pure blasphemy.)

Everyone on the National networks are saying the Lions have 0 chance to be the 2010 packers. I do not understand that reasoning at all. The Lions have a QB that is on fire, a potent offense, and a defense that can be the best in the NFC behind the 49ers. They also are a vastly different team that doesn't kill itself with stupid penalties.

I hope the Lions get the 5th seed for one reason only: It allows the Lions a chance to play the 49ers in the divisional round. Avril gets his revenge against that idiot lineman that was talking trash, and Schwartz gets to fist pump his way to the NFC championship game.

Quick note about me: 29 Years old, Lions fan since I was eight, live out of the state of Michigan so I never get to hear the local take on the team, which is why I love this site.

I hope that I don't come off as an ignorant Lions fan. For the first time in my lifetime, I feel the Lions can keep up with anyone, and more importantly, come up with stops in the red zone.
