No, this isn't some sort of half-baked Rex Ryan/zombie joke... Apparently the Jets are going to be cutting a handful of has beens and a never was in the near future, some of these names may surprise you:

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that the Jets will release defensive tackle Kris Jenkins, outside linebacker Vernon Gholston, offensive lineman Damien Woody and defensive end Jason Taylor.

The article, per PFT, goes on to state that they may bring back any number of those guys if they'll accept lower salaries, but I don't really see any of them wanting to do something like that.

Really this is just an interesting NFL news update, but would anyone be interested in any of these players? Personally, anything with Rex Ryan's stink on them can stay out of Detroit as far as I'm concerned, but there's some veteran talent and experience there.
