1st post.............
Let me start off by saying this site is the best. I have been reading most of the posts here for the last 6 months, and have found much of the information here very enlightening. Iv'e sat in my office at work at times and just busted out laghing at the outlandish things that get said here. What that tells me is that people here are emotional about something that they love.
My story?....
Ive been a huge lions fan for the last 25 years. I remember tailgating at the silverdome on thanksgiving day with a turkey cooking, or getting my picture with Trudy from the WRIF as she was waisted. My cousin and I created a dummy of a viking's player and spray painted the tires of his 12" lifted 79 Bronco and ran over the dummy and then tied it to the grill of the truck. We had many pictures taken of the beast that game. I remember the tears filling my eyes as the Packers took us out of the playoff picture. Mostly the last 10 years have given me nothing but upset Sunday's when I just wanted to be left alone. About 5 years ago I made a concious decision to no lonbger be emotinally tied to the team, and Ill tell ya, It felt great not to care. Though I missed my lions, I certainly didn't miss the heart ache.
This brings us to now, where the Firing of Millen has peaked my interest in what has been a lost cause for me. I actually watched every game this year, even the one I had to stream from the internet with my computer. I have gotten the erge to re-invest myself in the organization that has ripped my heart out so many times. I have never truly understood much about the schemes of defense and offense, and have appreciated the wealth of idea's and knowledge presented here. I look forward to representing myself as a heart felt lions fan on this site.
