I was just reading Ayers's publicist, our very own Det32, over on Mocking the Draft.  He was earning his pay and getting out the word to the masses just how great of a fit his client is for the Lions.  Someone jokingly stated they were going to make a poll over here to see what the PoD fans really think.  That got me thinking, why not make just that poll! 

Now in all fairness I want to say that I'm not trying to knock Ayers or Det32's opinion of him.  I'm was just making a well needed joke regarding the obsession over him as the pick.  I really don't intend to be insulting with this.  IMO the pick of Ayers at 13 does have it's merits and also it's downside.  So I'm curious to know what you all honestly think.  Perhaps it would help the advocacy to focus the debate here in one post rather than on EVERY other draft related post.

So lets hear it!  What do you think of Ayers as a player.  More relevantly, what do you think of the Lions picking Ayers in the draft?

When it comes to Ayers I think the Lions should:
1- Trade up if they fear someone else will draft him ahead of them!
2- Rush to the podium at 13 and pick him without a doubt
3- Pick him at 13 but only as an afterthought to other more desireable players
4- Regret not being able to pick him at 13 because another position is a bigger need
5- Opt for other LB(s) at better value in the draft
6- Pull a Nancy Reagan and JUST SAY NO!
