Would you be down (hypothetical situation)
Would you/ Could you live with a hypothetical situation where a QB desperate Seattle were willing to give up Aaron Curry (a guy we really targeted in 09) and this years 3rd and 7th for a shot @ Locker with our 13th???
I'm not sure if this is likely but wanted to put in the blogosphere to see what ye pride thought.
Personally I think it'd be a nice move to solidify our lb core without the risk of a Ayers or reaching at some guys... Hell I'd even say continue the Mayhew model and add once sexy high round busts a Vernon Gholston (cheap only)and Maybin at the league minimum (maybe not)--solidifies DE dept with guys that have big upside.
This hypothetical situation is all dependent on Prince not slipping to us which is possible and then we know what we'll be doing with the 13th pick in this scenario.
Alright let the praises begin

DEF
How could you pass that up. A young starting linebacker who has yet to hit his potential and more picks. PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN. Carter,Levy and Curry behind Suh,Corey,Avril and KVB. As Cartman would say “that sounds pretty sweet to me” Do it!

I wouldn't be suprised if Mayhew and staff
does in fact cruise the blogospheres to implement what the fans what to see are saying about the team and particularly what moves are they proposing.
As I see it free labor
Would be incredible
I don’t see it happening though. They still have Hasselbeck and Whitehurst…
RIP Robyn Bailey 1961 - 2010. I love you mum.
Naa, I'll pass... because? (in comments)
because of his salary. as a top three pick, his salary has to be nearing 10 mil per year, and we could spend that money in free agency and pick up two good guys w/o giving up our first
if seattle wants to take on his contract that would be great tho
oh good point
I voted yes on gut reaction without thinking about that salary aspect. According to roto his contract looks like
8/8/2009: Signed a six-year, $60 million contract. The deal contains $34 million guaranteed, including a second-year option bonus of $15 million. 2011: $5,076,250 (+ $5 million roster bonus), 2012: $5,757,500, 2013: $5,938,750, 2014: $8.12 million, 2015: Free Agent
The ’12 and ’13 are ok I suppose, but that 10m this year would be tough.

Pass
This is the Motor City. And this is what we do...
P.C.P ... Now with a Richer, and Bolder flavor
Probably won't be a possibility
with the CBA still in flux and a deal not likely to get done before the draft, players won’t be able to be traded unless it is. It’d be a good deal except for the contract. Because of that I think we’d be better off passing.
Sound's good to me.

No thank you
Curry has proven that he isn’t any better than a second pick at best.
