Last time I had a football video game question, I posted it here and got very valuable feedback. So, I thought I'd try it again. Here goes:
Since the NFLPA has been decertified, doesn't that give the players the right to sell the right to use their name individually? Or more to the point, is it possible there might be a new video game NOT made by EA that could use the players' names in it? Like if 2k Sports wanted to make a nfl game, or if Midway wanted to make Blitz: The League III with KVB on the cover.
Hell, maybe even a third person adventure game "Adrian Peterson's Escape from Slavery" where you have to run away from all the people trying to throw money at you. (and it could have a bonus round where you really have to pee and there's only fast food restaurants around)
Anybody know anything about this, legally?? Like what the contract with EA entails, i.e. is it still valid, etc.
I mean, I doubt anything will come about from it (seeing as most video games have like a 3 year development period) but it's interesting to think about.
What do you guys think?
Any game ideas?
