The NFL is so lucky that we are fans of football. I could handle the blown calls that happen every season, as they are an inevitable part of the game. I could handle the rules protecting the QB's, and non-Lions players. I could handle the fact that some of the richest people in this great nation of ours couldn't decide how to split up $9 billion. But, this could be the final straw on top of all that. These new rules to essentially prevent kick returns, mess with challenges, and continue to over protect players, are RUINING THE GAME OF FOOTBALL. I get the reason of the proposed kickoff and "defensless players" rules are to protect the players, but they could take special teams almost completely out of the equation. They also take a lot of defense out of the game, too. And punishing coaches for having their challenges be successful...it just doesn't make sense. If these proposed rules get accepted, and become actual rules, I may switch to UFL, CFL, and college games only. I hope it doesn't become that bad, but it might, and I'll be prepared.
